Hi!

I plan to buy a 7666-36G X61s.
http://www5.pc.ibm.com/europe/products. ... enDocument

Is it possible to install an internal HSDPA module (Novatel Mini-Pci-Express) into it? Is there a 2nd mini-Pci-express slot and a builtin SIM-card reader?

Is there Vista 64bit drivers exists for this machine? (I used some thinkpads, but never used my X60s with Vista X64, because it was Core Duo L2500.

Thanks in advance!

I got it.

There are SIM card reader and 2nd mini-pci-slot in the machine (there is no builtin antenna for the WWAN).

Do you know any type of HSDPA mini-pci card working in X61s in Europe ?

Its an SD card reader, not a SIM card reader.

You should take a look at this thread..... http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=55837

I managed to install a Novatel EU870D mini-pci-express HSDPA module into my X61s. It works well (thanks to Zender) with the internal Wlan antenna.

Now I want to order wwan antenna into my X61s.
I checked the hardware maintenance manual.

I have internal wlan antenna in my x61s (7666-36G) with the following FRU:93P4540
This contains two antenna modules on the left and right top of the screen.

I checked, that have two other antenna place in the screen cover.

The first one is on the top left side of the screen after the thinklight (leftmost is the wlan, thinklight, empty space).

The second is on the right edge of the screen, near the top.

Can you tell me the FRU numbers that I have to order to install internal (not retractable) Wan antennas to these places? I need 2 antenna, because my Wwan card has diversity antenna connectors.

Thanks in advance!
