hello to everyone ,
i have x60s
recently i formated my computer and also formated ibm partition ,
now i have all but i don't have the option hibernate ,
how can i make this option enable .

Though you have probably figured this out by now, it is configured using the power control panel. Under XP and before, there is a tab for it. Under Vista, start help and type hibernate. You'll find info there.

i'm using xp
and i don't have the option to hibernate .
i went to power and i don't have the tab hibernate and i can't activate it .
maybe it something with the thinkvantage ,
because as i wrote i formatted my computer and now it's without ib, system .
i just updated it with the hot keys program ...

Got me interested. I went to my XP machine (no-brand desktop) and opened up the Power control panel. There is very definitely a hibernate tab. When the disk is very full, it is still there, only disabled. (You need to enable hibernate before you fill your disk.)

I had the same problem after adding a GB of memory to my XP SP2 machine. Turned out that it was a somewhat rare but known issue at Microsoft, and they had a hotfix for it. I remember having to call them and ask for a link to the hotfix.
Worked right away and all has been fine, since.
A quick google reveals they may have published the patch. Try this or one of a couple other similar Microsoft support docs:

i found the answer
i removed the thinkvantage power program
and now i'm working only with windows hibernate option .
it's good for me .
