Better Resolution for Lenovo X61 (non-tablet)???

#1 Post by Trust1421 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:48 pm

Currently the best res. I get is 1024 x 768. I've heard of older models getting 1400 x ?.

I have the Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family - Video Driver Version 7.14.10.1329

Thinkpad display (monitor) driver version: 4.0.0.0

Intel Cpre(TM2) Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00 GHz
2gb RAM
32 - bit OS (Vista SP1)

Are there drivers out there that will allow me to get better/smaller resolution?

Thanks in advance!

Smaller, yes, although the screen will look blurry. You can use 800*600 and probably 640*480 if you really want.

Larger, no, unless you count a situation where you can pan around the screen when your mouse approaches the edges. This isn't very practical.

The screen in your X61 has 1024*768 physical pixels and there's no way around it. X60 tablet and X61 tablet are the only X series machines with a screen larger than 1024*768.
X220/IPS, T60p/IPS

i know the feeling... since i got SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) i could no longer stand anything lower. It just sux having to scroll like crazy all the time, i'm sure this page here might even cause you lots of scrolling and it's only 3 replies :)
