Anyone figure out how to use a X61 with WWAN card as a Wifi HotSpot. A couple times I have some team members who need to get online and I have the only laptop with WWAN. So it would be fantastic to do this.
My machine is an X61 running Vista 64 Ultimate. So far whenever I try switching on the WWAN card, it turns off the Wifi, and vice-versa. Once or twice I got both going at once, but not for long.
If someone has figured how to make this work, a step by step outline would be fantastic. Thanks!

Using WWAN to create a Wifi-Hotspot
The following two pages have detailed and correct step-by-step instructions for the setup needed to share a WWAN connection on a Windows XP system:

Last time I've tried this (with PCMCIA WWAN though, but it's from Sierra Wireless and display as wireless NIC) I failed to convince AccessConnections to _create_ AdHoc wifi network. It could connect to one, but that didn't allow my Windows to enable DHCP server/give addresses to connected computers.
Also tried "Use Windows to Configure Wireless Network" but it simply won't let them maintain control when I tried AdHoc.
Any clues how to do that?

I can't get the instructions above to work, as my X61 turns off the Wifi card when you turn on the Wan card and vice-versa. I can't figure out how to get it to allow both cards to work at once.
Would be great if someone has figured out how to make this work using Access Connections. Or if I need to get rid of Access Connections, explain how to make it work in Vista (or XP I can usually extrapolate).
