X60 going into standby when hot

I noticed a couple days ago that my X60 goes into standby automaticaly when running hot.I did notice before because I stoppoed playing WoW and usually I do not use the CPU at full power.

It is of course VERY annoying.Could this be caused by a driver or be cured by a full reinstall?

Wow on my X60 is OK but at 1Ghz it really is painfully slow
