Help: need x61 Vista 64-bit recovery dvd

I recently got my new x61 that comes with vista business 32 bit. After reading thru this forum, I decided I need to switch to 64 bit after upgrading to 4GB total RAM. I called Lenovo support and was told that should not be a problem, and they can send me the 64 bit recovery DVD but that it would cost $45 for shipping and handling since it's handled by a 3rd party company. I thought that was awfully steep for a lousy recovery DVD.

I am wondering if anyone has the 64 bit Vista recovery dvd who doesn't mind making a copy for me. I would pay for the media and mailing costs, and whatever additional cost that's reasonable. or even better, an iso image posted somewhere I can grab from.

this is not a request for warez, since if i wanted to I could easily download the vista 64 bit version from some torrent site.

also, please don't start a debate over why i elect to go with vista 64 bit vs xp pro, etc. that's a personal choice and is better left discussed in other threads.

thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be a lot simpler to just pay the $45? It's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new copy which would be your other legitimate option.

And at least you'd know what you were getting and would have a place to go back to if you got a dud DVD.

i thought about that but to fork over $45 i might as well consider getting upgrade to ultimate 64-bit which is like $120 at staples or something like that...

anyway, i found the iso elsewhere so people can ignore my request now.

thanks for the input
