X61s and Windows Server 2008 ??

#1 Post by mcmanaman » Sun Mar 23, 2008 8:08 am

Does Lenovo provide any support for the new Windows Server 2008? In case not, can I use the Windows Vista drivers, since Server 2008 and Vista have the same archeticture??

I tried it on my X60. Works fine with one exception - no bluetooth support whatsoever. Had to turn back to Vista because of that.

WS 2008 is not a supported Operating system on any ThinkPad model. The Vista drivers should work, but you are on your own if they dont!

People at Microsoft use a T60 with WS 2008 64-bit to be able to user the Hyper V and other features. You must then use the 64-bit Vista drivers. I plan on doing same.
