[x61t] Taking notes in class. (Pic)

X60/X61 series specific matters only.

Do you continue to use the tablet in class or was it a fun thing to play around with but without no real use?

It becomes easier once you get used to it. And besides you can always zoom in/enlarge notes to make it easier to see and ink on if you want.

Taking notes on the tablet feels pretty natural to me.

I am studying for a MS in Computer Science... The x61 is my primary note taking device.

In some classes, where the instructor does not use many graphics, the keyboard and a text editor (UltraEdit 32) or Word works great...

In other classes, where there are primarily drawings, graphs or sketches, I flip to slate mode and use Journal (I have tried OneNote, but prefer Journal)

And as a bonus, where the instructor hands out PDF or PPT files, taking notes directly on the PDF/PPT works great!!!!

Sometimes, zooming in helps me make more efficient use of the "paper" page...

Check out an example of one of my study sheets..

I use PDF Annotator... pens, felt tip pens and highlighter...

it is free to try, and cheap to own... there is a new version around the corner, which make a good product even better...
Thanks,
