Anyone know when the Non-WWAN X61T comes back out (if ever)?

The website only offers the X61T with the WWAN option. Even if you leave it as default, the antenna for WWAN is still integrated into your monitor.
Anyone know when the other X61T with no WWAN will come out?
I called Lenovo to ask about that one and they said they don't know if it will come back out. Plus, I couldn't order it (the non-WWAN one).

I'm pretty sure all X61T's in the past included the WWAN antenna, the only choice before was whether you paid for the internal WWAN card to be able to support that functionality. The real question here is, and this is also why you see only one X61T option as opposed to the 2 options from before, why is there no longer an option for turbo memory? Turbo memory uses the same internal card slot as the WWAN card, so before there were a main menu option for the WWAN-enabled X61T (with no option for turbo memory), and an option for a bare X61T configurable with turbo memory. The latter still included the WWAN antenna, in case the user decided to swap the turbo memory card for a WWAN one later.
I believe in essence if you order the X61T now with only the WWAN antenna but no card then it's the same as the old option of non-WWAN X61T, except you don't have the ability to add turbo memory any more.
Is this Lenovo's de facto concession that turbo memory provided few benefits, and actually caused with problems with drivers in certain situations? And this coming from a user with turbo memory installed in his X61T.
As a side note, the X61T is now available with the 64 GB SSD hard drive. It will set you back $800, however.

Hi Hart,
Thanks for the detailed information

When I had called Lenovo, they had also mentioned that the WWAN replaces the Turbo memory on the mobo. I'm not sure if they mobos are actually different, but according to what you said, they'd have to be the same to be able for the user to swap in/out the turbo mem.
I wouldn't have gotten the turbo mem in the first place; I was only worried about the extra antenna being bad for health. But since it would have been there anyways in the non-WWAN option, I'll just get this option

If the antenna is not connected, there is no need to worry.
Who knows, you might need WWAN later along the road.
