Loose headphone Jack

#1 Post by Justintoxicated » Wed Apr 16, 2008 12:56 am

Since I have had my laptop (x61s) for the past few months the audio port seems really loose. Esp compared to the microphone port, or the audio port on any other device I own. I can wiggle the plug in it and get static etc, or at least it unplugs very easy. It still works but it's certainly looser than the audio ports on anything else.

Is there some way I can fix this? Are they all like this?

-Thanks Justin

Is there some way I can get this fixed without having to send my laptop in for a new motherboard?

Also if I swapped out the hard drive and memory do i need to put the origional stuff back int o warranty the laptop? Its a trivial part, but the spaker is so poor on the x61s that I have a jack plugged in for the audio the majority of the time.
