Losing Access Connections and wireless icons on startup

#1 Post by gpvillamil » Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:11 am

I have an X61 Tablet, Win XP SP2 Tablet version.

Recently, I am experiencing an annoying behavior: on startup, the Access Connections and Wireless Status icons in the system tray don't load. Access Connections is still working, and I can access it via Fn + F5, but I like having the icons.

Stopping explorer.exe and restarting it from the Task Manager fixes the problem, but I am concerned as to why it happens.

Is anyone experiencing this? Know of a fix?

Well, I gave up and uninstalled Access Connections entirely.

And waddayaknow, some weird errors that I had been having on shutdown, went away.

I actually liked AC, but am now with those people who prefer to not use it.
