Hi, i recently got my X61s (7666-36G) with Vista Business pre-installed (I installed all available updates with the vista upgrade function + Thinkvantage System Update). When i tested all the features i noticed that there is no Bluetooth option which i can switch on or off. When i press FN+F5 only Wireless Lan appears and i can switch that on and off. The hardware switch is at ON.

After that i looked at the Device Manager and could not find Bluetooth there either

there is also no otion in the BIOS when i press F1 before the startup where i could enable/disable Bluetooth...

I tried to deinstall/install the access connection manager and also the Bluetooth drivers but nothing changed.

I hope some1 can help me with my issue :(

Open the device manager then search for unknown devices. You'll find the drivers for this unknown device inside the SWTOOLS folder on your harddisk, it comes preloaded. Let Vista search for the drivers inside this folder, after that the unknown device will be recognized as "ThinkPad PM". And voila!! Press Fn + F5 and you'll be able to turn your bluetooth on and hence Vista will recognize bluetooth and install it automatically.

Thinkpad PM device was in the device manager all the time, but still access connections do not show Bluetooth :(

I made a Screenshot:

Make sure that all the drivers and softwares concerning the bluetooth are properly installed, and the wireless radio button is switched on. If the problem stills persist then you must consult Lenovo proffesional!!
