Hello, I just received my X61T and I would like to install Vista cleanly - without any Lenovo 3rd party apps or drivers. The best I could find in the recovery was a custom install where I de-selected things like Acrobat Reader, etc.. I tried it but there is still A LOT of post-Vista installation crap from Lenovo that went on there. I don't suppose the 8 cds that came with the machine contain Vista so I can go through the regular installation? I would like a clean install of Vista then I want to hand pick which drivers go in.

Another thing, I will be dual-booting FreeBSD 7.0/amd64 on the machine and it seems that the recovery partition utility will wipe the entire drive clean - obviously no good for what I want to do. I suppose the only way (which I have been doing for years with IBM) is to delete the hidden recovery partition to free up space, install Windows on a 20GB partition and then FreeBSD on another partition...
