?keep icons orientated when changing to portrait

#1 Post by nikemen » Tue Apr 29, 2008 8:57 pm

Is there some way to keep desktop icons oriented when I switch to portrait? Every time I switch modes the icons move of course, and then when I switch back the icons more again.

Do you mean that when you have gone from landscape to portrait and back again, the original positions of the desktop icons have changed?
Is this on Vista or XP?

I run Vista and I haven't noticed this to be a problem on my tablet, but then I keep desktop icons to a minimum.

yes, this is on vista. For example, I put the GC on the bottom right of the Right of the screen. I would like it to remain there. And, My documents are in the upper right hand corner. But, as I rotate through different screen orientations, to portrait and then back again, the icons move. They don’t seem to have a memory of where they WERE in the traditional landscape orientation. I know they have to move when I go to portrait, but I would like them to be back to where I put them in landscape.
