volume buttons and master volume

My volume buttons on my x60 tablet doesn't seem to control the master volume. I remember on other thinkpads I've used, they should be linked to master volume instead of being independent. Is there a way to configure the controls to do so?

Which version of Windows are you using?

1. T43 2668-B97 14" SXGA+ 1.5G RAM 9cells
2. X60s 1703-CA3 powerful
