How do I tell what kind of IPS panel I have for my SXGA+ on my X61T? My LCD looks sort of grainy so I am afraid that I got an inferior IPS compared to all the SXGA+ panels that people keep praising??
I looked up this thread:
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... ight=panel
and it has useful instructions for searching the FRU # on the Lenovo website. However when I input the FRU # on the main search, I didn't get any useful webpages.
Thanks!
X61T - What kind of IPS Panel do I have for my SXGA+ ?
I believe there is only one type of SXGA+ panel used in the tablets; the BOE-Hydis HV121P01. It has an AFFS screen technology, which is a development on IPS.
A small amount of graininess when viewing large slabs of whiteness seems to be par for the course with IPS-type displays.
