Replacing the Network Card

I once saw a place on Lenovo website about replacing the network card of the X61s but I can't seem to find that page on their site anymore. I have a PDF with instructions but it isn't as detailed. If anyone has any info/link please let me know.

Also, if I open the computer to get access to the network card, can I ruin the case plastics in any way?

thanks

Opening and closing the case does not damage anything; all you need to do is remove the keyboard and palmrest/keyboard bezel.

It is not clear from your question which "network card" you wish to replace. The Ethernet (wired) network adapter is part of the motherboard; the Wireless LAN adapter is a socketed module and can be replaced very easily.
