Pen/Tablet hardware switches off when using external monitor

#1 Post by Anastasius » Fri Jun 06, 2008 8:56 am

Hi!
Does anybody have the following issues?
Sometimes I connect my Lenovo X61 to external monitor and use it as a tablet. (I paint on the Tablet PC with LCD turned off, while seeing the result on external monitor). It all runs ok for a day or two - after several switchings on and off, and several sleep cycles, the pen (and finger touch as well) stops functioning! It just happens eventually.

I wrote to Wacom - they try to blame IBM and propose me to "reinstall driver", "use the latest version" etc. - all the crap that I did several times in the first few minutes when the problem has appeared.
(And IBM is as deaf as always).

does anyone experience the same problems, and maybe has the solution?
