F11 Trick

#1 Post by fkelly » Sun Jun 15, 2008 9:50 am

Ok, so I am about 2 years behind the times, and you all may have already known this, but on another notebook site, a fellow was kind enough to share a little trick.

hit the F11 key and you get expanded real estate on your viewing page. Toggle again and you are back with full toolbar use.

I never knew this and was tickled to death. Perfect for 12 screens.

Frank, F11 works for most browsers and Microsoft Office apps. At times its very useful especially if the content being viewed needs more real estate area than the display can provide. Getting rid of the borders, toolbars, menus and system taskbar is usually very helpful for that.

Don't know which browser you use but Opera, Firefox and Explorer all support very easy ways of changing text font on the fly.
