I got a Toshiba MK1234SXG 120GB SATA drive. Is it worthy to replace original Hitachi 5K100 40GB SATA drive with Toshiba one?
Thank you.

Not unless you are out of space on the 100GB.

Andrew,
You mean the Toshiba one has lower speed than Hitachi one, right?

No. Here is the expanded explanation:
Since both drives spin at 5400RPM, there will be no discernable difference in speed between them. The higher capacity drive will have lower latency due to higher areal density, hence it will be marginally faster, but the difference will not be noticeable. Consequently, the only
effective difference is the capacity -- which may or may not matter to you, depending on how close you are to the capacity limit of your existing drive.

Thank you so much, Andrew.
One more question, will there be an error for changing a hard drive?

If you mean "Will the BIOS complain about the new hard drive?", then the answer is "No."
