X60 sleep failure while docked

#1 Post by donzoomik » Fri Jun 20, 2008 3:23 am

My X60 sleeps and wakes up just fine usually. But when i put it to sleep docked, it fails.

To be exact, sleep icon lights up, discs shut down, but power is not disconnected (fan is still running, power icon remains lit). Also the system is not able to wake. It just does nothing. Just manual power-off and boot works.

Running Vista Ultimate SP1 32bit.

PS. I've had problems with dock once or twice, with USB not connecting.

Have you tried the latest BIOS? Also there was a problem on T60's where you had to disable the serial and parallel port in BIOS to avoid hibernation while docked problems. In your case I'd also try disconnecting any USB devices from the dock as a test.

Already at latest BIOS.
Well, i can try disabling serial and parallel, but i need serial sometimes to access Cisco console.
Well, i can try USB, but it kind of beats the point of dock for me. I'll report back with results later.
