can't go to slep/hibernation mode if firewire is enabled

hi,

i've got an x61 wyg and i'm running xp-sp3 bios 2.12

ok so , as the title says , i can't go to hibernation or sleep (stand by) mode if i enable the firewire in the bios (security then I/O access port)

the result when i press hibernation or stand by button is :

standby-> the laptop turn off the screen, everything is ok but, i don't reach the phase were the half-moon is lighted, so it's stuck and i have to press the power button to power off the pc

hibernation-> xp display the "going to hibernation mode now" screen but, as for sleep mode, it's stuck during this phase and i can't go to this mode


of course, if i disable the firewire, everything is ok

same thing with the 2.14 bios version

anyone has any idea ?
