Help me with this miracle as well (Pic)

#1 Post by new2tp » Fri Jun 27, 2008 12:13 am

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I recently traded my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V3205, 12.1" display, 1.8 GHz C2d, 2GB ram, 120 GB HDD, 1.8 Kg weight
with
IBM X60 tablet PC, 1.6 GHz Dual Core, 1GB ram, 80 GB HDD.

I missed C2D so much that I was about to dump my new machine. I am very happy to have found this thread. I am attaching my CPU-Z pics for reference.

Please advise if I can upgrade to T7400 or T7600.

@Marie-Anne, Can you please advise about the right and wrong about T7600 as well?

@Other Experts, Please comment on tastatur's query about the working voltages [along with the additional scenario of L2400 vs (T7400/T7600)].

Sorry to trouble you people with so many questions...

MOD EDIT: Thread split from T6x forum, moved and a picture warning added, please get yourself familiar with forum rules, thanks!

First it's a low voltage processor - L2400 which is different than T7400.

Secondly the processor is soldered onto the motherboard, you cannot upgrade or replace it without swapping out the whole system board.

Sorry for the mistake...

I found the processor upgrade thread in T60 section and confused it with X60 ...

@ryengineer Thanks for your comments.

I guess this leaves no hope for me to upgrade my X60's processor to C2D. I wish i was also able to do so (just like the owners of T60)...
