Uninstall CSS: Any concerns

I have an X61s running Vista Ultimate. Judging from all of the comments on the forum, it seems as if it would a good idea to uninstall CSS. I was wondering if there are any caveats before I do it. I don't have a boot-up or BIOS password, just the login to Windows with the FP reader.

I'd like to continue using the FP reader but that shouldn't be affected, am I right? I will just go to windows "uninstall programs", right?

I did a search for "unistall CSS", but didn't find anything that really spelled it out.

Thanks

Think there were some discussions about CSS... Anyway, it's possible to keep using the fingerprint reader without CSS.

I have CSS uninstalled, but left and use the fingerprint software (I'm pretty sure they are two separate installations).
I have yet to encounter any problems regarding this setup.

Same here. I uninstalled CSS after I had been using it, and I had the same concerns as you, but they were assuaged by Ryanengineer. I use FPR without any problems, and my machine starts up faster.

Thanks. I'll give it a try when I have a few hours to play with. The folks at Lenovo tech support (a different issue) recommended I do it also.
