X61 Tablet with XP Professional

Hello, I just bought a X61 Tablet and at the welcome screen, the digitizer pen was not working for some reason. I went ahead and create my account, logged in, and found out that the system actually has Windows XP Professional installed (the COA on the bottom says Windows XP Tablet Edition). Is it possible to get the digitzer pen working under XP Pro, or do I need to replace it with XP Tablet?

You will need to get the tablet edition.

yea i figured that's probably the case since XP doesn't have native tablet support. Too bad, another $150 goes down the drain.

Try and find a used disc somewhere. You can use the COA on the sticker to activate it.
