I am a med student who wants a tablet mainly for class. I can get a x61 sxga+ display or an x61 xga display (not multi-touch) for 200 dollars less. I am not a graphic designer so I didnt think i needed sxga+ but i'm not sure. Everyone seems to rave about the sxga+. Will mainly use for reading pdf's and note taking and then also general web browsing and such. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks

You can see a much larger portion of a document at reasonable resolution. Definitely a good idea to get it.

sup, i have a x60s and it has the standard xga, and i would LOVE to have sxga, especially for pdf reading.. sometimes books dont fit all the way on my screen so i have to scroll left and right, this happens all the time if the pdf is a book scanned right to left so its on one page...

The only reason I've sold my X60T was the fact that it was XGA. My next new ThinkPad will be an X6xT with SXGA+.
Assuming that your eyes are good, go for SXGA+. you won't regret it.
