[X61T] Unused white antenna cable - WLAN, WWAN ... ?

Hello,

yesterday there was a support technician here and replaced the system board of my X61T. There I noticed, that my notebook does not only have a SIM-card-slot but also a second mini-pci(-express)-slot and a white, unused antenna cable.

How can I ascertain if this cable is a 3rd wlan-antenna, a wwan antenna or something else?
I want to upgrade my notebook to WWAN/UMTS but this would only be possible if I had a wwan antenna built in the display frame.

Thank you!

Roman

The white wire is the third WLAN antenna. The WWAN antenna wires are black-with-red-band and blue.

Thank you for your quick reply!
So I can substitute my ABG wlan card with an AGN and I will have fast N-wlan with 3 antennas, right?

But there will be no chance to get UMTS/WWAN apart from detaching the display, install a WWAN antenna (and lose guarantee)? :(

Correct about needing the antennas for WWAN. Please see the PM (Private Message) that I sent you.
