Anyone benefited from Turbo Memory after SP1 on Vista x64

#1 Post by red bioroid » Mon Aug 18, 2008 6:52 pm

After installing the usual updates via the Lenovo System Update last night, I finally got the much waited option to install SP1 for Vista on Windows Update . It ran fine and I hope it fixes the random hanging once a month on my X61s .

Another question: has anyone see any apparent performance benefit from their 1GB Turbo Memory after installing SP1 on Vista x 64? My Turbo Memory currently is still disable and I'm cautious about turning it on.
Feb 2008=Thinkpad X61s; 2x faster than X40 but not as asthetic.
Dec 2005=Thinkpad X40; perfect, but bigger than 240x.
Jan 2005=Thinkpad 240x; used; fast but dead pixels doomed it.
2003=Thinkpad 240; used,
1998=new Toshiba Tecra 740CDT. Pricey, heavy & last 5 year.

Anyone has an update on this.

So far, after SP1, I don't recall any random hanging.

Just getting the Turbo Memory optimized if possible.
