Hello,
I got an X61 CTO since they are out in the US 07/07.
Now I would like to add WWAN to it. How can I found out if the model supports it or not.
Regards,
Yves
My X61 CTO and WWAN?
Re: My X61 CTO and WWAN?
"Support" of an internal WWAN card on an X61 means having the WWAN antenna. Note: You may need to remove the Intel Turbo Memory card, if the machine has it, in order to use that miniPCI Express socket for the internal WWAN card.Yves_ wrote:X61 CTO ... WWAN ... If your display panel does not have the WWAN antenna on the right side, then you need to remove the "top" of the machine from the base, i.e., the LCD assembly, remove the bezel of the LCD assembly, and install the WWAN antenna (FRU #93P4543).
