no VPN over WLAN

I have strange problem:
I can not run my employers VPN on my x60s via WLAN. It works fine via normal LAN.
At the same time the VPN works fine with the same VPN client over the same WLAN access point with my T42, so I figure it is the x60s.
only obvious difference to me is the newer access connection version on the x60s vs. the T42. The VPN software is from cisco 4.8..
Thanks for any input how to get VPN via Wlan working...
cheers

In theory, if it works with one it should work with the other.
Two issues I have faced getting Juniper Netscreen 64-bit working with Vista 64-bit, where VPN worked with one stack but not the other:
1. I had to replace and upgrade my router.
2. At Microsoft's suggestion, I uninstalled the wired driver, the wireless driver and all its profiles, and Access Connections and all its profiles (Microsoft did not suggest Access Connections). I did that, restarted, reinstalled the whole lot, and it worked.
3. Not a VPN issue, but a Cain and Abel issue - I learned that there are multiple variables in the Registry in:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\{...nic identifier}\Parameters\TCPIP
that may conflict with each other. Specifically DhcpIPAddress replaces IPAddress (which should be 0 in a DHCP network). If these variables are screwed up, it can cause problems. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU NEED TO.

Thanks for the answers, I will give both recommendations a try.
@jdhurst: the router shoudl not be aproblem, if it works with another machine on the same router, right?

One would think; however, experience tells me differently. My venerable Netopia B router worked for years with any XP machine I threw at (my own plus client machines). However, it would not work with my Vista machine, and I had to change out for the Netopia G router. ... JDH
