Bluetooth Function issues

I guess this question would be for anyone that uses Bluetooth on a regular basis.

I have the Jawbone 2 headset and paired it successfully with my x61t.

However, for some reason, I cannot hear any sound into the device but hear it clearly on the laptop.

Since I am looking at more video these days on presentations and other things, I wanted to hear the audio privately wherever I might be.

Can you tell me what this issue might be and why it might be giving me problems?

I did pair it successfully as it shows up on the screen with green arrows pointing in both directions, signaling it's active.

Any help you can give me on this would be great. Thank you for the help.

Did you remember to go in control panel under "sounds and audio devices" in the "audio device properties" tab to make sure that your Bluetooth device is specified as the device to be used? I have found that it's not necessarily automatic even if the device is paired. On a reboot it could revert back to the default device. I use a Sony DR-BT22 stereo headset and a Jabra BT250V headset with my Thinkpad. The Sony headset shows up as "Bluetooth High Quality Audio," and the Jabra appears as "Bluetooth Hands Free Audio" in the control panel options. Also, a new explorer will usually have to be opened when you're already listening to something using the computer speakers and then decide to switch to Bluetooth. For example, if you're watching a clip on youtube and the sound is coming from the computer's speakers, and you then connect your Bluetooth headset, the sound will continue to come from the computer speakers. You have to first close the youtube clip and reopen it in a new window. Then the sound will come from the Bluetooth headset. Hope this helps.
