Bluetooth on x60
Can I add a BT card (internal, not USB) to a X60 that didn't come with on installed? Thanks.
no, it wouldn't. lenovo told us that it's possible to modify thinkpads outside of the normal CRU parts without voiding warranty (at lenovo's discretion). unless GlobetrotterDoug fries his display or planar in the process of replacing the LCD cable and BT module, his warranty would remain fully intact.Wentworth wrote:you can, but it would void your warranty.

since there's no way for lenovo to know if the BT module and LCD cable were installed by the end user or a certified lenovo service center, lenovo will not automatically void an entire warranty just because of this modification. everything depends on the technician and whether or not they raise issue with the modification.732 wrote:Could you explain this please?
