FN + F5, FN +F12 no longer work

So last night, I decided what the hey, lets update all the power management stuff...
Since you know power management is pretty important and maybe the new software is more efficient some how.
So i updated my interface driver, power management driver, and power manager along with the bios.
I then tried to put my computer into hibernation via the FN +F12 key and it didn't work...
Turns out after a disk clean up the hibernation disappeared .... so i did a command line entry and turned it back on.
So i am like wth... all the other buttons work, like volume, display brightness, etc... so i go and try out the new hotkey driver.... same thing...
Anyone know how to fix this?
I searched a little and it seems like it could be the new power manager or i have to uninstall all the drivers and install them in a specific order....
i am thinking of just leaving it be...since i am just getting frustrated with my lenovo experience.
I have a X61t btw.
