500GB HDD will it fit?

Hey i wondered if this HDD would fit in my X61s?

Either will fit.

This will not impact the warranty on the rest of the machine.

I am too interested to find out if my current thinkpad x60 is able to do a 500gb sata. My device manager lists my hdd with both ide and sata drivers. I suppose that this implies that the sata hdd should work.

Some other questions, will I suffer battery life loss? The 2 recovery disc that I generated, should work fine with the new 500gb hdd?

Which brand of 500gb do you guys recommend?

I notice that there are some 16mb 7200rpm 3gb which are sata2. What are the differences? Does it help to get them instead of the bigger sized counterparts?
