HOWTO: Installing Windows XP (x64) on an x61s Thinkpad

I found the driver on the microphone works -> X64.rar (6.10.2.7280)
You need to install the driver like this: Don't search. I will choose the driver to install and in next dialog click Have Disk...:

NOTE! If you're upgrading from the older you have to restart your computer.

The microphone also works with the driver from Dell but is not digitally signed:
ANALOG-DEVICES_ADI-198X-INTE_A11_R297758.exe

Are there any new sources for these drivers? Links are rerouted/dead and my google-fu has failed me.

Yup, it works. Including the microphone. Thanks, mate. So thats one problem out of the way, now onto the 10 other drivers that needs finding.... And that unicorn 64 bit power manager....

I do not understand what you mean. You read all the topic?
All drivers are listed in this post, including Power Manager (PM) (6iku08ww.exe)

Knowing which drivers i need and finding them are two different things. Plenty of links for the drivers but most are either dead or route to strange sites i'd rather not deal with.

Most drivers are for Windows Vista 64-bit on Lenovo for laptop X61 -> Link

Drivers can be downloaded directly here:

Replace driver_name.exe with driver name e.g. 83f506ww_64.exe

Figures... I've never had any luck with vista x64 drivers in XP x64. Of course the one time for dont bother trying them is the time they do work...

People complain about the WinXP x64 because there is no drivers but I repeat that suitable drivers from WinVista or Win7 x64. It is possible that drivers from Win8 and Win10 x64 also suitable for WinXP x64, but I did not check it.
