X61t screen wobble?

ok so I ordered an x61 tablet but i am starting to have second thoughts. since there is only one hinge is there a lateral screen wobble? how loose is the screen itself? I mean how much pressure do you need to apply to turn it around its axis?

The x61t hinge is pretty strong. Pretty stiff when I open it. Turning it is even stiffer. If I don't hold the laptop down when I open the screen, the bottom(keyboard) portion will get lifted up too. If I try to rotate the screen without holding the bottom, it doesn't rotate and just moves the laptop on my desk instead of rotating just the screen. I have the 8cell battery, so it's not that of a laptop.

It does wobble a little if you tap/push on the screen while it's open in laptop mode. This is due to it just having the central hinge.

Overall I don't think it's any major issue. I don't recall any posts about problems with the tablet hinge.

yeah but there are just little things by which i get easily annoyed. i guess i have a tad anal personality. i just don't wanna be the guy typing on my x61 tablet and tapping at the screen annoyingly and watching it wobble.
can anyone give me a second opinion on that or should i simply wait till the x61t arrives and risk 15% restocking fee.

I would say it's no worse than the other notebook screens I tried before.

It only wobbles a few millimeters and for a split second. Also you probably wouldn't be using your stylus on the screen when it's in laptop mode anyways.

This doesn't mean that the hinge is weak or loose. That's just how it is.

It probably won't bother you at all unless you're trying to make artwork with your finger/stylus while in laptop mode.

thnx for the input, so hopefully the screen won't bother me. im buying this one primarly for small size and a nice flexview like screen. too bad they don't offer flexview on regular laptops anymore. i think x200t doesn't have as good screen either so X61t is a logical choice.

The screen does not, as far as I can tell, wobble at all. The one thing that might bug you is....well, I won't tell you. I didn't even notice it until someone else mentioned it, and even then I have to hold the computer up between myself and a strong light source to notice it, so it's really not noticeable.

Somewhat bumping an old thread.. just sorting out a X60t and notice there's quite a lot of 'give' in the hinge, resulting it in the whole screen being able to move on the central pivot about 2mm up/down at the edges, nearly touching the rubber bumpers underneath [if you see what I mean].

How normal is this? It seem way to much to me, but having never seen a new one I'm unsure if this is just the design. Other than that movement, it seems fine; nice and tight as you open and turn.

Any thoughts? I suppose its expecting too much for Lenovo to of provided some adjustment.... :?
