Possible to do KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS on a Multtouch X61T?
Possible to do KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS on a Multtouch X61T?
Is it possible to do keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+C (Copy) CTRL+V (Past), SHFT+CTRL+N (New Document) on a Multitouch X61 Tablet? I ask because I know they cannot accept multiple input. I'd like to do some audio work on the train and plane and do not have to roll out the laptop's keyboard if I don't have to.
Also, Is there a button on the Tablet panel which brings up the ON SCREEN KEYBOARD?
Thanks for answering my questions and Happy New Year!

The modifier keys on the on-screen keyboard are "sticky" - when you press them they stay down until you press the next non-modifier key. So to enter Control-N, tap Control and then tap N.
On XP there is an icon on taskbar that brings up the OSK. On Vista, you can have the taskbar icon, but the OSK handle pops up whenever you hold the pen near the screen, or touch the screen.
You can also reprogram any of the tablet buttons to bring up the OSK, for example the Enter key, the Esc key or the toolbox.

Thanks SO MUCH for the info.
Would you say the OSK is responsive for fast entry? Thank you. I'm looking forward to trading up my X61!

If you are planning to use a finger on a multitouch screen for a wave editor forget it. From everything I've read the multitouch screen requires far too much pressure. I certainly can't imagine dragging with it. The stylus works quite well if you can work with that.epu wrote:I can't seem to find any images of the OSK on the web. Can you r someone else post a jpeg of these "modifier keys"?

Yup, I agree. The OSK is only barely usable with touch. Not very quick at all. Ironically, the on-screen keyboard that appears on the login screen is much bigger, and easier to use, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to access it once you're logged in.proaudioguy wrote:If you are planning to use a finger on a multitouch screen for a wave editor forget it.
