Urgent Help!! Complete Restore Error

I have a IBM Thinkpad x61 with 'IBM Rescue And Recovery' start-up program. I used this to 'restore factory defaults' and it eraced everything (which i wanted) but before it finished it gave me the error 'IBM Product Recovery failed to restore your system'. It does this every time. I'm so messed up now. Last time I restored a while ago it worked. It's not finishing properly...PLEASE HELP!!!
