I just replaced the factory installed Intel 4965agn card in my X61s with an Atheros agn card. I was surprised to see only (2) antennas hooked up to the Intel agn card. Shouldn't there be three?

Well, I guess
this pictorial explains it. It says that if you have the MIMO feature there are (3) cables. So, when I ordered the 4965agn card with this machine I only got 2 cables. I would have thought that by ordering this wireless N feature the MIMO feature would have also been included. I wonder how many others have only (2) cables when they think they have (3)?

If you ordered your X61 with a 4965
AGN card, as distinct from a 4965
AG (N-disabled) card you should have three antennas installed.
The 4965AGN has MIMO support.

That was my finding as well. The next challenge is how to get it fixed correctly with the right antenna.
