ericsson f3507g on an x61

Hi there,
I hope the problem has been solved already. Maybe it is not a problem for you but here it is.
I own a x61 (7673-4NG). The device comes without the WWAN Antenna but the SIM-Slot is available.
I habe ordered one of these Ericsson f3507g cards which is not designed for the x61.
However.. I have manged to install the card by taping pin 20 and connected it to a Wlan Antenne (yes I know. It should be only a temporay solution). I still use the original lenovo bios because I have got no 1802 bios error or something. Then I have installed the drivers under windows xp which are basically designed for the newer laptop types.
In my device manger the device is displayed as an usb-device as an "ericsson f3507g mobile broadband minicard composite device" which can not be startet. It shown the yellow exclamation mark with error code 10.
Does someone has ideas how I can resolve the problem?
Is it possible that the antenna needs to get connected before the device is able to start? A Sim-card is already inserted but this does not make any differneces.
Any idea?
