Custom 1360x768 resolution out of VGA?
Custom 1360x768 resolution out of VGA?
Running Vista64, is there a way to get 1360x768 out of the VGA port in a X61s?
My Plasma TV unfortunately only supports that through VGA as a max resolution even though the TV is 1080p.

Have you tried powerstrip? I've never had the occasion to try with your specific configuration, so I don't know if it will work, but might be worth a try.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

I just tried PowerStrip myself and it let me to the custom resolution to 1360x768 @59Hz (not 60Hz for some reason)
There's still some ghosting on my LCD TV, though...

Re: Custom 1360x768 resolution out of VGA?
Okay good news and bad news
Ghosting was just due to a loose cable connector. Problem solved.
The bad news is that Power Strip does not play nice with Windows 7 x64 (and quite possibly Windows Vista). For some reason when videos are played they are choppy. Once the program is uninstalled the problem goes away.
Looks like I'll have to stick with 1280x768 for now (although my TV overscans by default so it stretches it a bit to 1360x768 - it's hardly noticeable)
If you find a viable solution, please PM me!
Cheers

I used the information on this site:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/article ... -graphics/
And was able to coax that resolution out of my X41 with Intel 915 chipset. Worked well too. Good luck.
