Install x61t system board to x60t??

#1 Post by r90223038 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 4:34 am

I found cheap ($300 or so) system borad with L7700 CPU on ebay.
Can I upgrade my x60t to x61t(santa rose plateform) by installing x61t system borard?
I don't like my x60t not utilizing 2x2 GB 800Hz fully.
Has anyone done this before?

Welcome to the forum!

Great idea. I tried this once.

I am afraid this will not work. There are several connectors that are different and in different places.

the santa rosa platform is limited to a 667MHz memory bus even with 800MHz modules installed.
