wlan-adapter not recognized in any thinkpadtool

Hey,


had to reinstall xp and now no thinkpadtool shows the wlan device. anyone had the problem or knows the solution??

You will need a driver from the Lenovo site. There are 2 choices: Intel Pro 1000 or "thinkpad". My experience is that most X60 machines use intel. Here's the link for the intel one

i did use the driver from lenovo.... thats what my problem is about ....

any suggestions?

i reinstalled the driver/device a couple of times no difference

Dumb response here, but is the hardware switch on? (one guy on here actually had that problem a while back).

Did the Wlan get disabled in the bios somehow?

Are there any red question marks anywhere in the device manager? Sometimes the drivers get screwed up and don't install correctly.

WLAN is usually supported by windows drivers though...

yes hardware switch is on, its also working and connecting, but not shown in accon
