Trackpoint driver issues
Posted: Mon Apr 20, 2009 2:16 pm
My Trackpoint (which i looove btw) recently stopped working. It also gives a yellow explanation mark in the windows XP device manager, when i try to reinstall the drivers it says "This device cannot start (code 10)" I tried to re-install the driver from the IBM/lenovo site which doesn't work. The only way to make it work is to use the standard mouse drivers, which makes scrolling a horror and won't let me adjust the mouse sensitivity.
There are 2 events which may caused this inconvenience:
1: I've been expanding my computer with a external keyboard and LCD monitor, for this i downloaded Thinkvantage keyboard customizer
2: I ran windows update (i have a legal windows) which found 4 new drivers but gave a blue screen after the update, it did gave me the option to use the last correctly working settings, but i don't believe it is a very healthy situation. The problem is that i'm not sure if i updated the trackpoint driver as wel......
I hope someone can 'help me out of the fire' as we say in the Netherlands
Ow darn i meant to post this in the X60 forum, can a moderator please move this?? sorry...
