Replacement batteries for X60s

#1 Post by CyberDude » Mon May 11, 2009 11:10 am

The life in my X60s battery has deteriorated to the point it doesn't keep a charge more than 90 minutes now. Is it still best to replace with a genuine Lenovo battery or are there other suppliers or OEMs that offer similar or uprated compatible batteries?

I have had really poor luck with non-OEM (aftermarket) batteries on X60. The ones I got from 2 different suppliers did not even fit without serious work with a razor knife and a grinder. They also failed quickly.

Thanks for that. I guess I'll have to pay £££ for OEM then. I need to replace 3 so it's going to be expensive.

I had bad experiences with aftermarket compatible batteries also.
They came with less full charge capacity, and deteriorate very fast.
Buy original.

I have been using laptops (Non IBM) since the early 90's and in my experience the only batteries worth spending your hard earned on are the manufacturers original kit. The reason they are more expensive is, they work.
