Ok, so work bought the Lenovo "special" tablet.
Max res of 1024x768, which just stinks, but they were looking at price.

Now the boss asks me if it's possible to replace the LCDs with a higher res one if he decides to in the future.

Do you guys know of a place to get the whole assembly or the parts needed to get the "better" screens?

Here you go:

http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-LENOVO-X60-X61- ... dZViewItem

In the interest of full disclosure, I am NOT affiliated with the seller in any way.

Hope this helps.

Just download the Maintenance Manual from Lenovo's website, it has all the proper partnumbers etc in it.

I recently picked up a brand new base, without hinge, cables or top-half, and got some nice deals (mostly Ebay) to rebuild it to as-new condition. I got a brandnew 1400X1050 Flexview panel from a gentlemen very close to where I live - yeah, sometimes we need a little luck, I know - and now are running Windows 7 RC as a trial, everything, including tablet buttons working like a dream.

Also hae virtual XP running, but the default drivers is a little limited. It feeld like MS used embedded XP t create an image, with a few drivers installed, but not all - running fine though.

But, I digress - good luck with your search for decent panels, they are out there, if a little expensive.
