Warranty Questions

#1 Post by el aye » Fri May 22, 2009 12:17 pm

I have an X60 Tablet MT/MV that I received in January/February of 2007. The laptop has been fine other than some really dumb warranty support between August and September 2007. My latch broke and when I got it replaced the LCD bezel came back put together poorly causing a horrible yellow tinge on a large part of my LCD. I sent it back again and they didn't fix the problem, but made it worse because when they reassembled the bezel this time they didn't get the plastic to fit correctly... but this is beside my question for right now.

Does Lenovo fix the hot palmrest issue under warranty? The palmrest seems to get unbearably hot now, enough that I think I'm getting mild burns (my palm will hurt after using the laptop and appear red). Also, do they replace backlights to the LCDs under warranty? Mine has definitely shown its age and whites are no where near as bright as they should be. I think the above LCD problems have contributed to this. Thanks for any help.

Your LCD should be replaced Under warranty. A new LCD may even fix the long time problem you describe.

I have found the repair depot service to be excellent. As good as ever. Usually a pickup on Monday is nearly always returned repaired on Wednesday.

If you have any issues call and keep calling if necessary until you are satisfied.
