Cracking LCD Front Bezel

I love my X61 tablet to death and I try to take very good care of the tablet as much as possible. Sadly I'm beginning to see small cracks and chips in the plastic of the front bezel. There is one in three of the LCDs corners. All of the chips and cracks are very close to the screw hole covers. My warranty has already lapsed.
Does anyone know of a safe plastic glue that I can use that won't craze or destroy the bezel? The crack is small now, but like a hang nail, its already catching any kind of fabric that brushes over it.
I've also been looking at the possibility of just replacing the bezel completely. I'm looking at the Thinkpad X61 Tablet hardware maintenance manual and I'm a little confused by the part numbers they have listed. They have two part numbers for what looks like what should be the same part. For my SXGA+ with fingerprint reader, it lists p/n: 42W2537 and p/n: 42X4396. Which is correct for my 7764CTO?
(Its starting to look like the front bezel and the led name plates are expensive parts!)
