Can the digitizer pen side button be replaced?

The little clip tab on the inside of mine broke so the button fell out. It's $49 from Lenovo for a new digitizer pen, but I don't know if there is a "repair" solution here. The button is pretty simple, it's just a piece of plastic that can clip into the pen (if the clip isn't broken). Has anyone had experience with this? I'd hate to have to drop $50 on a new pen just because of this button...everything else about the pen still works great.
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff:
I repaired a pen that broke in exactly the same way. If the button still works but falls out because the clip holding it in place is broken, then here is a crude solution, but it works. Put the button back in place. Wrap one turn of Scotch Magic Tape (the transparent variety) around the button to hold the button in place.
I previously had used a small, thin piece of heat-shrink tubing around the center of the button insert but it's too stiff. The tape is more flexible and durable. The repair has lasted six months now and is still going strong. And if the tape breaks, just tape it again.

Haha...thanks. I'll give that shot. 1 piece of tape sure beats $50 for a new pen.
