X60s NMB keyboard wiggle

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed the amount of wiggle on X60-series keyboards. I have a NMB keyboard (the rubber plungers under the keycap are blue) and the the keys wiggle quite a bit before pressing down. By this, I mean I can rock the key back and forth diagonally.

I hypothesize this is due to the way the NMB keycaps attach to the plastic assembly, as it uses four clips closer to the center of the keycap which slot into the assembly as opposed to the mechanism that clips onto the edges found in most other keyboards.

Has anyone noticed this? I'm partial to my X32 keyboard which does not wiggle quite so much, and probably contributes to the solid feeling I get when using it.

The keys on my x61 dont wiggle, but its not as solid as my 600x. Are there different brands of X6 series keyboards.

So it happened that all of the keyboards on my past and present Thinkpads have been NMB, and I can wiggle individual keys to some extent on all of them. It has nothing to do with how solid the keyboard feels though, trust me. That is mostly determined by the amount of support under the keyboard and how well it sits in the chassis.
